The association's growth has always run through relationships with larger stakeholders who noticed the work and chose to back it.
UNHCR
The UN Refugee Agency has been the association's earliest and most consistent partner — the body the founding group first approached in 2013. As UNHCR noticed the group's potential for growth, it began offering training, introductions to other stakeholders, and eventually the waste paper project itself.
Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS)
JRS has partnered with the association as it works to accompany, serve and advocate for refugees — complementing THE FACE SELF-HELP ASSOCIATION's own referral and follow-up work on cases beyond its direct capacity.

The waste paper project
Once UNHCR recognised the association's growth, it entrusted the group with a project that became central to its funding model: collecting used paper and recycling it into a profitable activity.
The proceeds have been deliberately redistributed across the association's own pillars:
School items provided to children, since tuition itself was already free.
Start-up kits for youth beginning new economic activities.
Boosting existing activities for members who already had an income-generating business.
Training costs covered for members enrolled in professional programs.
Beyond our two named partners
Referrals only work because others answer them.
Cases beyond the association's own capacity are referred onward to the appropriate service providers, and followed up on to make sure members are actually assisted — a chain that depends on every stakeholder in it doing their part.
